China Food & Drinks Fair Helps Foreign Food Companies Start a New Journey of “Community Retail”

The 99th China Food & Drinks Fair (hereinafter referred to as the “CFDF”) will be held in Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center from October 25 to 27, 2018. The 99th CFDF is planned to cover an area of 150,000 square meters. It is expected that more than 3,000 exhibitors of food, liquor, condiments and related industries will gather in Changsha for this grand event. In recent years, with the increasing acceptance of imported food in the consumption market of the food and drinks industry in China, the international factors of the CFDF are also improving. Many food producers and agents at home and abroad have entered deeply into the second and third-tier consumer markets in China through the channel of the CFDF, and have achieved gratifying business results. This autumn, the Imported Food Area of the CFDF will also bring new products from many countries to meet with distributors from the national market, especially from the central region, in the W2 Pavilion.

In the First Half of 2018, the Central Region’s Economic Growth Outperforms the Whole Country

According to the recent data published by the National Bureau of Statistics, the economy of the central provinces in the first half of the year has maintained rapid growth. Among them, the economic growth of Anhui, Hunan and Hubei was 8.3%, 7.8% and 7.8% respectively. Data from central provinces show that their economy is growing faster than the national economy. Changsha is one of the most important circulation cities in Central China, which covers the surrounding 8 provinces and sunken markets.

As the “loyal fans” of the Imported Food Area of the CFDF, Australia and South Korea will continue to participate in the 99th CFDF in the form of exhibition groups. At the same time, chambers of commerce for imported food from regions such as Yiwu and Qingtian will also participate in the 99th CFDF in the form of regional exhibition groups for the first time. They agree with the value of the CFDF and are willing to follow the CFDF to enter the central regional market, so as to further deepen the market for layout. Combining the current consumption habits and the characteristics of retail channels in the central region, the Imported Food Area has launched leisure food, kitchen food, beverages and IP food. At the 98th CFDF, which ended in March this year, the IP Food Area was welcomed by the professional audience.

The Imported Food Area of the CFDF Tours the Central Region to Explore New Retail in Central Communities

The Imported Food Area of the 99th CFDF mainly invites regional distributors from eight provinces around Hunan in the central region (Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong, Henan, Anhui, Jiangxi, Guizhou and Guangxi). Through the early market research, the wholesale market visit and the communication with and feedback from the VIP buyers in the central region, in combination with the retail characteristics of Changsha at the same time, the group exhibition team of the Imported Food Area of the 99th CFDF will take “community new retail” as the key word, and provide all-around ideas for exhibitors and audience from channel pairing, solutions and product demand, at the “One-to-one Business Negotiations”, the “Gold Products, New Channels” Summit and the “Forum on Intellectual Property Licensing for Foods”.
